Galera is located centrally among the Natural Parks of Cazorla, Castril, Maria Los Velez, and Baza, which are all within easy driving distance. In the parks you can partake in the many country pastimes afforded by these wonderfully preserved areas. You can also visit the neighbouring villages and towns of Huescar, Orce, Cullar, Puebla de Don Fadrique and Baza. All within easy reach, stroll through their streets and visit their markets, restaurants, bars, museums and monuments. Also close to hand are the nearby archaeological sites revealing the first human presence in Europe and representing practically all cultures (historic as well as prehistoric) of Mediterranean origin.
